Truck drivers protests at Port of Baltimore over long delays at the container terminal

Posted on August 16, 2022   |

  • Truck drivers have to regularly wait for hours to pick up containers and, sometimes these waits are up to 8 hours long, which is a big problem for drivers who are not paid by the hour.
  • The terminal operator unloads the cargo ships quickly as possible to avoid charges from carriers, but there is no urgency to move the containers once they get to the yard which led to this movement.
