EU-Egypt trade surpasses $31 billion in 2023

Egypt's trade with the European Union fell to $31.20 billion in 2023, down by 19.20% from the previous year.

Egyptian exports to the EU decreased sharply by 31.80% to $11.80 billion in 2023.

Imports from the EU to Egypt also declined, dropping by 9% year-on-year to $19.40 billion in 2023.

Italy was the top destination for Egyptian exports in 2023, with $3.10 billion worth of goods shipped.

Remittances from Egyptians working in European countries saw a notable decrease, falling by 21.30% to $652 million during the fiscal year 2022/2023.
