Morocco implements new measures to support the revival of the housing sector
Posted on September 10, 2020
This sector has been severely affected by the health crisis linked to the coronavirus. The first measure concerns the suspension of the application of the real estate price benchmark. The second measure relates to the total exemption from registration fees for the benefit of purchasers of social housing at 140,000 (USD 152,000) and 250,000 dirhams (USD 271,000) until December 31, 2020. The objective is to create a purchasing dynamic to ensure the recovery of the market, on the one hand, and to reduce the costs for the benefit of households wishing to acquire social housing, on the other hand.
