Slow vaccine distribution likely to affect economic growth of the MENA region in 2021

- Due to Covid-19, oil exporters of the MENA region might experience negative growth in 2021, says Gita Gopinath, Economic Counsellor and Director of Research Department, IMF.
- Rapid vaccine distribution is expected to add about $9 trillion to global GDP between 2020 to 2025.
- Out of the $9 trillion, $4 trillion is projected to be added to the GDP of the developing countries.
