
Swedish GDP falls 0.8% in Q2 as retail sales drop in June

Sweden's GDP fell 0.8% in the second quarter compared to the previous quarter.
The GDP rose by 0.9% in June, matching early estimates.
June’s GDP was up 1.9% from last year, but the quarterly GDP was similar to the same quarter last year.
Retail sales volume dropped 0.3% in June, with durables decreasing by 0.7% and consumables increasing by 0.3%.
Annual retail sales growth was 0.1% in June, and total retail trade volume decreased by 3.1% year-on-year.
Turnover in retail trade fell 1.6% in June compared to last year, with durables down 3.5% and consumables up 1.8%.
