Canada saw a 4.7% decrease in housing rates in August

• In August, the starting average of the seasonally adjusted annual rate of housing was down to 283,971 from 286,076 in July.
• The yearly residential rate is 4.7% down to 235,782 in August and apartments, condos and other types of multiple housing projects dropped 5.7% to 173,120.
