July saw a three-month consecutive decline in U.S. housing starts

• The lingering material and labor shortage affected the U.S. housing starts and lowered it surprisingly.
• Residential starts dropped 7% last month to a three-month low of 1.53 million but building permits increased 2.6% in July.
