Port of Long Beach concludes the construction of a major rail project to reduce congestion

- The Double Track Access from Pier G to Pier J Project adds a 2nd rail line that runs 8,000 feet long that allows four terminals in the port’s south basin area to simultaneously handle arriving and departing trains.
- Construction of the $34.7 million projects commenced in February 2020 and was partially funded by a $14 million contribution from the state’s Trade Corridor Enhancement Program.
