Self-employed construction workers earned an average of £985 per week in January 2025, marking an 8.6% rise from January 2024.

January 2025 earnings fell by 7.5% compared to December 2024 due to holidays and weather conditions.

Surfacing contractors experienced the sharpest drop, with earnings decreasing by 14.7% from December.

Bricklayers saw their earnings decline by 13.2%, largely because of weather disruptions.

Equipment and operator hire workers faced only a 2% reduction in earnings.

Insulation and plumbing professionals limited their earnings drop to 3.8%, showing more stability than other trades.
