65 million m³ of timber harvested for the Finnish timber industry in 2021

In 2021, 65.7 million m³ of Roundwood was harvested, which raised the 5-year average by 4%.

Non-industrial private forests saw 83% of Roundwood removals, and 54.7 million m³ of industrial Roundwood was harvested, which is 16% higher than in 2021. 

The total volume of removals in the forests owned by the forest industry and state forests soared to 11 million m³.

Log and pulpwood removal rose to 29 million m³ and 36.7 million m³, and compared to 2021 it grew by 17% and 10%.
