June saw a 14-year high in UK’s Timber import levels

- In June 2021, timber imports stood at 1.01 million cubic meters, taking the total to 6 million cubic meters in the first six months, the highest level in 14 years.
- The four leading softwood supplying countries exported over 1 million cubic meters and Sweden, Finland and Latvia supplied extra 300,000 cubic meters.
- Hardwood imports increased by 30% in the first half of 2021.
