Australia's 3rd biggest sawmill, the Redmond sawmill announced its closure

Redmond Sawmill is shutting down due to low logs supply in June end before the official ban on local logging in 2024.

The company was going to acquire 8,000 tons of material by December under a contract with the Forest Products Commission but was unable to secure sufficient log supplies.
