Canfor’s, VIDA AB to acquire sawmill for $6 million in Ingarp, Sweden

VIDA AB, a company in which Canfor Corporation maintains a 70% ownership stake, is set to acquire a sawmill with a capacity of 50 million board feet from Ingarp Träskydd for a total of CAD$6.0 million. 

Notably, this sawmill holds significant expansion potential, with the capability to potentially double its production to 100 million board feet. 

Canfor views this acquisition as a strategic investment, given its proximity to Vida's existing sawmills in Sweden. The transaction is scheduled for finalization on October 3rd.
