Canfor’s Vida strengthens Scandinavian presence with new sawmills in Sweden

Canfor Corporation announced that its majority-owned subsidiary, Vida AB, has finalized the acquisition of AB Karl Hedin Sågverk.

The acquisition, first revealed on July 22, increases Vida’s production capacity by about 230 million board feet.

With this deal, Vida’s total annual production now stands at roughly 2.1 billion board feet.
