December saw a decline of 34% in Brazilian exports of wood products

In December 2022, Brazilian exports of wood-based products (except pulp and paper) fell by 34.0% in value compared to a year ago, dropping from $423.2 million in December 2021 to $278.8 million.

Pine-sawnwood exports fell by 44% to $45.6 million and in volume, exports declined by 38% to 183,700 m³.

Tropical sawnwood exports fell by 55% in volume to 17,500 m³  and in value, exports fell by 35.0% to $10.2 million and wooden furniture exports fell annually by 41% to $43.9 million.
