Fire destroyed Kennebec's hardwood sawmill in Greenfield

• On Saturday, Kennebec Lumber Company's sawmill building caught fire which required joint help from 25 surrounding fire departments and 120 firefighters.
• The sawmill building had an open floor plan and housed wood, sawdust, and bark mulch, all captured in the blaze's intensity.
• The sawmill is the only one affected by the fire despite being a total loss, but all of the other buildings on the site, the office, the kiln building, and lumber stacked along the road were unaffected.
