Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) terminated forest management certificates in Russia

The FSC declared the withdrawal of the rest of the forest management certifications in Russia by the individual certification bodies.

(ASI) Assurance Services International decided to end its FSC assurance actions in Russia; the decision will be into effect on May 1st and will be reviewed once the conditions allow for assurance again.

Integrity is the main reason for the withdrawals because the safety of the oversight people in the country cannot be guaranteed.
