Mayr-Melnhof Holz concludes acquisition of Sweden's Bergkvist Siljan Sawmill Group

- Bergkvist Siljan produces 850,000 m3 of spruce and pine sawn timber annually, and the group consists of 3 modern sawmills as well as one of the largest container terminals in Sweden.
- Mayr-Melnhof Holz, with 5 million m3 of log processing capacity, will be Europe’s third-largest sawmill for the first time in its 170-year history and expects turnover to exceed 1 billion euros in 2022 financial year.
- The new Bergkvist Siljan is situated in Insjön, Mora, and Blyberg (all in central Sweden) complementing the existing Mayr-Melnhof Holz sawmills in Leoben (Austria), Paskov (Czech Republic), and Efimovskij (Russia).
