New Zealand to make it difficult for foreign investors to buy forestry land

• The government agreed to make it harder for overseas investors to convert pasture to forestry which will ensure the right plantation at the right time.
• The change would apply only to forestry modifications where overseas 
• investors look to acquire existing farmland for planting into a new forest, and there is no change to investments in pre-existing forests.
