Poland's lumber production saw a decrease of 6% in March

- In March, the volume of sawn softwood production at Polish enterprises fell by 6% from a year earlier, and at the end of the month, the indicator amounted to 275 thousand m³.
- In February 2022, Production remained stable at 237,000 m³. In January 2022, the country recorded a decrease in production by 5% to 221 thousand m³ but in February 2022, Production remained stable at 237,000 m³
- In total, for the first three months of this year, Sawnwood production in Poland was 3% lower than in the same period last year, and local enterprises completed the first quarter with 733,000 m³.
- In the first quarter of 2019, Sawnwood production reached 758 thousand m³ which is the highest level in the history of Poland but after a reduction in Q1 2020 (-8% to 696 thousand m³), an increase of 9% to 756 thousand m³ was registered in 2021 in which the volume of production grew by 6% to 3.31 million m³, compared to a previous year.
