Timber imports return to pre-pandemic levels due to slow UK Housing and repair

The timber import volumes fell by 20% compared to February 2021 levels but remain modestly above pre-pandemic levels of February 2020 which is the 5th consecutive month where total timber import volumes were below the previous year.
Softwood imports associate heavily with the RM and I and the new housing market which had a slow start to the year and will likely continue to slow till Spring 2022, and the energy and cost of living crisis will also going to increase in the coming months.
