UPM suspended deliveries to Russia due to invasion in Ukraine

- As the effect of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, UPM-Kymmene Oyj, the Helsinki, Finland-based forest industry company planned to temporarily cease deliveries to Russia.
- UPM has employees, customers, and suppliers in Ukraine and Russia, but exposure to these country's markets is limited.
- UPM Raflatac has a distribution terminal in the Kyiv region with 13 employees and the terminal's operations have been closed until further notice, and in Russia, UPM employs 800 persons, most of them are working at the Chudovo plywood mill and its operations are currently running as usual.
- UPM’s sales to Russia and Ukraine (combined) were 2% of UPM’s total sales in 2021 in which assets in Russia are less than 1% of the group total, and less than 10% of UPM’s wood sourcing to Finland was initiated from Russia.
