U.S. accuses China, Indonesia, Vietnam of dumping plywood with subsidy support

Posted on July 2, 2025   |

In mid-June, the U.S. Department of Commerce launched antidumping and countervailing duty investigations into hardwood and decorative plywood imports from China, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

Alleged dumping margins range from 84.94% for Indonesia to a high of 504.07% for China.

The subsidy rates for all three countries reportedly exceed the 2% threshold set for developing nations.

The petition was filed by the Coalition for Fair Trade in Hardwood Plywood, which includes several U.S. wood product manufacturers.
