Vietnamese timber companies sought aid due to failing demand

The timber industry in the country requires assistance in terms of market information, requirements, and consumer preferences.

Since the start of 2023, orders from Vietnam have fallen by 50-60%.

In the first 4 months of 2023, the export turnover of timber products fell annually by 30.6% to $3.9 billion.

There is falling demand from big markets like the EU, the US, the UK, South Korea, China, and Japan.
