West Frasier to sell its natural softwood kraft pulp mill in Hinton to Mondi Group plc.
Under the agreement, West Fraser will provide fiber to the Hinton mill from West Fraser’s Alberta sawmill’s residuals.
Mondi wants to invest €400 million in the development of the Hinton mill for a new kraft paper machine, which will be operational from H2 2027.
