West Fraser unveils 3rd expansion project for Newberry, SC sawmill

West Fraser is set to invest $17.7 million in the 3rd expansion of its Newberry, South Carolina sawmill.

This expansion, akin to those in 2014 and 2016, aims to modernize the sawmill and enhance productivity.

In preparation for the project, West Fraser has acquired an additional 60 acres of land.

Operations at the expanded facility are scheduled to commence in early 2024, resulting in the creation of 30 new jobs.

West Fraser's dedication to growth and efficiency is evident in its substantial investment in the Newberry sawmill facility.
