Weyerhaeuser to buy 80,800 acres of timberlands in North and South Carolina for $265 million

- Weyerhaeuser will acquire 80,800 acres from a fund managed by Campbell Global for approximately $265 million and the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the second Q2 2022.
- The acquisition is of highly productive timberlands situated in strong coastal markets and strategically located to provide prompt synergies with existing Weyerhaeuser timber and mill operations
- Weyerhaeuser will manage over 900,000 acres of timberlands in the Carolinas with the acquisition.
- The company also operates 4 mills, a distribution center, and a tree nursery and hosts multiple mitigation banks and real estate development projects, employing more than 700 people between the two states.
