Canada introduced a new bill to improve the supply chain

• The legislation will address the root cause of inflation by strengthening the country's supply chain via port competitiveness and rail safety.
• The bill will establish a regulatory framework to require ports to collect more information and share it with railways, trucking companies, and shippers to enhance accountability and transparency.
• The Act will permit the Government of Canada to deliver on the completion of the Ports Modernization Review by enabling Canada’s ports to better react to an increasingly complex economic, social, and environmental operating environment.
