European Commission approves SEK 199 million investment aid for rail & shipping freight transport

Railway companies and firms involved in intermodal transport, such as port operators, logistics providers, and freight forwarders, can apply for investment support.

The support can cover up to 50% of costs for transshipment equipment, intermodal transport gear, and related technology, capped at SEK 10 million.

The Swedish Transport Administration is responsible for managing the investment support program.

Applications can be submitted until December 31, 2025.

The funding aims to improve the efficiency and sustainability of intermodal freight transport in Sweden.
