Port Workers' Union signals strike on Sweden's West Coast

Posted on July 3, 2023   |

The Port Workers' Union declared a strike from July 6-11 at the Gothenburg ro-ro terminal and the Port of Helsingborg.

The Union demands the establishment of a social fund, to support employers who rehabilitate needed employees after a long period of illness or injury.

In addition, the Port Workers Union requires that newly hired workers be entitled to paid union familiarisation training.
