Shippers lost $5 to $10 billion as cargo arrival delays increased by 70% from January to March 2022

- Since the start of the pandemic, schedule dependability of cargo has dropped by 1.3% points month-on-month and 4.7% points year-on-year.
- This resulted in a loss of $5-10 billion to shippers, and compared to the share of cargo arriving late, the late arrivals were at 20% before the pandemic, but that figure now aviated to 70% in recent months.
