The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) to automate the Nigerian ports system by the end of 2023

  • The ports’ fully automated system will create a platform where all port-related government agencies will link together via a single window.
  • NPA began full automation processes and at present, they have the Oracle E-Business solutions which contain Oracle Financial, Oracle Hyparium, and Oracle Budgeting.
  • The NPA consulted the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) for the deployment of the Port's Community System. 
  • The IMO will fund some of the automation projects as it has come with a regulation and requirements for all ports to automate entirely by 2025.
