- British households are experiencing the biggest economic reduction in decades due to soaring food and fuel prices, which is taking inflation towards double-digit figures while average wages are no higher than they were in 2006.
- Over 50,000 rail workers will participate in the strike on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday for job cuts and pay in which Members of the Rail, Maritime, and Transport union (RMT) at Network Rail and 13 train operators will take industrial action and ruin services in the UK.
- During these 3 days, 90% of trains will be canceled and trains that do run will start later and finish much earlier than usual, between 07:30 and 18:30.
