US supply chain recovery continues but material shortages still linger

The rates of ocean shipping, trucking, and other transport fell following American consumers started spending on travel from big-ticket items like BBQ grills, TVs, and furniture.

However, the labor market remains tight, which is increasing costs, and machine parts shortages and cement became hard to find as automakers and other manufacturers catch up with demand.
