Workers begin their 2nd 8-day strike at the port of Felixstowe with 1,900 Unite members

- Workers at the Port of Felixstowe in Suffolk began the strike on 27 September which will continue till 5 October as the union Unite rejected an imposed pay agreement.
- Following the first strike action, Unite wanted to resolve this through negotiation but the union denied it, and now, Unite will take another 8-day strike action.
- In August, 1,900 union members participated and began an eight days strike, with Unite requesting a pay rise to match the rate of inflation, currently at about 10%.
