The government announced one of the biggest infrastructure bills of $1.2 trillion

  • House of Representatives passed an infrastructure bill of $1.2 trillion after months of negotiations and political infighting, in which $550 billion will invest in the nation's bridges, airports, waterways, public transportation, and in other areas.
  • The newly passed measure contains $110 billion for roads and bridges, $39 billion for public transportation, $66 billion for Amtrak development, $65 billion for Broadband internet, $65 billion for the electric grid, $7.5 billion for electric cars, buses, and ferries
  • $65 billion on clean drinking water, $48 billion to improve rivers and lakes, $25 billion on airports, and $11 billion on road safety.
