BC Housing floats tender to analyse use of mass timber for affordable housing

• The bidding process closes April 28, 2021
• BC Housing believes this is a good way to cut greenhouse gas emissions 
• The tender which was opened on March 11th is to perform a study on the economics of using mass timber for multi-unit projects between seven and 12 storeys high.
• Mass timber is a renewable resource with a lower carbon footprint compared to traditional concrete construction methods.
