$200 million state-of-the-art sawmill facility to be built in Amite County, Mississippi

- Construction of the new mill will begin this summer, with lumber manufacturing starting in late 2023, or early 2024.
- After completion, the mill is expected to need over 1 million tons of timber to annually produce 250 million board feet of lumber.
- The new sawmill facility represents a corporate investment of $200 million and will create 131 direct jobs and support an extra 200 indirect jobs when operating at full capacity.
- The Mississippi Development Authority is helping with infrastructure improvements and site development and Amite County is assisting with the project.
- The new facility will be located on 65 acres of land, which includes the former Georgia Pacific site.
