Mercer International to invest in a new sawmill project in Arneburg, Germany

• The project involves an expansion of the existing rail facilities in the industrial and commercial park that will handle the extra shipments of lumber to the Arneburg site primarily by rail.
• The Arnebur site is close to the mill that eliminates some current deliveries of wood chips to Mercer Stendal pulp production and reduces transport costs of raw materials for the sawmill to a relevant extent 
• The new sawmill will be part of the Mercer Timber Products umbrella of companies
