- The European Sawlog Price Index (ESPI) is up 18% from the previous quarter in the second quarter of 2021 and 35% in the second quarter of 2020.
- The shortage of fresh, quality sawlogs and strong demand for logs from the region's sawmills increased the prices in the first six months of 2021
- In the Czech Republic and Germany, in the 2md quarter of 2021, average log prices were 40-50% higher than 2020
