Global Sawlog Price Index (GSPI) jumped to 10% due to the high demand for sawlog from sawmills in Europe and North America

  • The European Sawlog Price Index (ESPI) is up 18% from the previous quarter in the second quarter of 2021 and 35% in the second quarter of 2020.
  • The shortage of fresh, quality sawlogs and strong demand for logs from the region's sawmills increased the prices in the first six months of 2021
