UK’s timber imports increased 8% between January and July 2021

• The United Kingdom imported over 7 million cubic meters of softwood lumber during January and July 2021 which is 2 million higher than 2020 and half a million than 2019.
• The country is confident enough that the construction demand will satisfy as there is enough wood at UK ports and in the UK supply chain which will bring stability to the UK market
