US and Canada's railcar loadings grew 3.8% and 4.4% respectively in October

  • U.S. railroad increased 1,970,839 combined carloads and intermodal units of wood products, which is 3.2% higher compared to 71,419 of 2020
  • For the first 41 weeks of 2021, Canada's rail traffic originated 6,078,439 carloads, containers, and trailers, which is 4.4% higher than October 2020
  • For the first 41 weeks of 2021, U.S. rail traffic originated 20,825,372 carloads and intermodal units, up 8.3% from 2020
