Brazil’s timber exports climb 14% in December from a year ago

Brazil’s wood product exports rose 14% in December, reaching $315.2 million from $276.4 million in 2023.

Tropical sawnwood exports increased 9% in volume, from 22,100 m³ in 2023 to 24,000 m³ in 2024.

The value of tropical sawnwood exports increased from $9.1 million to $9.4 million.

Tropical plywood exports jumped 83% in volume, from 1,800 m³ to 3,300 m³.

The value of tropical plywood exports grew 73%, rising from $1.1 million to $1.9 million.

Wooden furniture exports increased 19% in value, reaching $54.2 million from $45.6 million in 2023.
