Canfor holds a ceremony for its first $160 million sawmill facility in Deridder, Louisiana

• The new facility will be Canfor’s first greenfield project, as well as the company’s first investment in the state of Louisiana. 
• Canfor Southern Pine’s DeRidder site is projected to be a $160 million state-of-the-art sawmill complex and will be Canfor’s 16th operation in the U.S.
• The Derider site of Canfor Southern Pine is estimated to be a $160 million state-of-the-art sawmill complex and is the 16th largest operation in the U.S. 
• The sawmill plant is expected to open this winter and will create 516 direct and indirect jobs.
• The state-of-the-art sawmill will be located on an LED Certified Site at the Beauregard Parish airport, just outside DeRidder city limits, where parish and city officials showcase the area’s industrial qualities.
