China saw a 39% decrease in softwood Roundwood imports between January to May

From January-May 2022, softwood Roundwood imports to China fell by 39% to 12.18 million m³ but deliveries from Latvia increased by 500% to 167.6 thousand m³.
In the first 5 months of 2022, shipments from New Zealand to China fell by 19%, from Germany fell by 51%, from Russia it fell by 57%, from the USA fell by 32%, and from Solomon Islands shipments fell by 18%.
However, in the same period, Chinese hardwood log imports increased by 6% to 5.86 million m³. and imports of hardwood logs from Latvia grew by 7% to 120,000 m³.
