February saw a 45% increase in Brazilian exports of wood-based products

- In February, the value of Brazilian exports of wood-based products (excluding pulp and paper) grew by 45% to $413.9 million compared to February 2021.
- Pine Sawnwood exports grew by 48% to $68.9 million in value between February 2021 and February 2022, and the exports increased by 7% to 254.300 m³ over the same period.
- In February 2022, tropical Sawnwood exports rose by 2% in volume from 30.100 m³ in February 2021 to 31.800 m³ but in value, exports fell by 1.6% to $12.4 million over the same period.
- For wooden furniture, the export value soared to $60.3 million in February 2022, which is a 10% jump.
