Finland's commercial logging reduced by 9% in March 2022

In March 2022, 6.7 million m³ of roundwood was harvested for industrial purposes in the country, and on an annual basis the commercial logging fell by 9%, compared to the average for March over a five-year period, the decrease was 1%.
sawlog removals grew by 14% to 2.9 million m³ and pulpwood removals fell by 10% to 3.9 million m³ compared to the March average for the previous five years.
In January-March, 18.3 million m³ of roundwood was harvested for the Finnish timber industry, which is down 5% from the previous year and 5% from the five-year average.
