France saw a 20% growth in furniture exports in Q1 2022

- In the first quarter of 2022, the value of French furniture exports grew by 20% to 729.7 million euros of which 418.5 million euros of this amount fell in the EU countries and 311.1 million euros are accounted for by countries outside the EU, which is 22% more than 2021.
- Shipments to Germany, which is France's most important furniture market, grew by 10% to 116.9 million euros.
- Exports to Spain grew by 31% to 64.3 million euros, to Belgium grew by 12% to 62 million euros, and to Italy grew by 46% to 52.3 million euros, compared to Q1 2021.
- Outside the EU, deliveries to Switzerland grew by 29% to 69.4 million euros, and to the UK grew by 26% to 62.9 million euros.
- As for the furniture imports to France, in Q1 2022, shipments increased by 16% to 2.707 billion euros, and to China, imports grew by 47% to 661.4 million euros.
