Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) to suspend all trading certificates in Russia and Belarus until the incursion lasts

The FSC International Board of Directors agreed to suspend all trading certificates in Russia and Belarus and to block all controlled wood sourcing from the two countries.
FSC is an environmental and social certification, permitted by a global organization based on strict standards of forest management.
FSC certification applies to wood and wood-based products and covers a wide range of topics, including environmental stewardship, legal and regulatory compliance, the social and economic well-being of workers, indigenous people’s rights, and the social and economic well-being of communities.
The FSC International Board of Directors agreed to suspend all trading certificates in Russia and Belarus and to block all controlled wood sourcing from the two countries.
All certificates in Russia and Belarus that permit the sale or promotion of FSC products are suspended, meaning wood and other forest products can no longer be sourced as FSC-certified or controlled from Russia and Belarus for their inclusion in FSC products anywhere in the world.
