Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) to suspend all trading certificates in Russia and Belarus until the incursion lasts

- The FSC International Board of Directors agreed to suspend all trading certificates in Russia and Belarus and to block all controlled wood sourcing from the two countries.
- FSC is an environmental and social certification, permitted by a global organization based on strict standards of forest management.
- FSC certification applies to wood and wood-based products and covers a wide range of topics, including environmental stewardship, legal and regulatory compliance, the social and economic well-being of workers, indigenous people’s rights, and the social and economic well-being of communities.
