January 2025 sees a 5% drop in US softwood lumber prices

In January 2025, softwood lumber prices declined by 5%, following a 1% drop in the previous month.
Hardwood lumber prices grew by 1% in January, up from a 0.5% increase in December.
Millwork prices fell by 0.2% in January, reversing the 0.2% gain seen in December.
Plywood prices experienced a slight rise of 0.1% in January, after falling 0.4% in December.
The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for final demand increased by 0.4% in January, slightly lower than the 0.5% rise in December.
